05 juli 2011 Het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid bereikte afgelopen week een mijlpaal binnen de in 2007 gestarte reddingsoperatie Beelden voor de Toekomst.

Restauratie en digitalisering oeuvre Louis van Gasteren

05 juli 2010 In het kader van Beelden voor de Toekomst heeft EYE het oeuvre van Louis van Gasteren (Amsterdam, 1922) gerestaureerd en gedigitaliseerd. Hiermee is een monument voor de cinematografie voor het nageslacht veiliggesteld. Een bijzondere uitdaging voor het restauratieteam van EYE was de restauratie van de documentaire Hans het leven voor de dood (1983) waarvan het uitgangsmateriaal in slechte staat was.
