Economies of the Commons 3: Re-Imagining The Archive will be the biggest ‘eCommons’ yet with two streams of extraordinary keynotes, presentations, hands-on workshops and plenty of networking. The conference will look at two themes: The challenge of large numbers: Digitization and restoration of film, A/V and photography and The future of archives: The Economies of Sharing & Re-Imagining the Archive.

The first ever Creative Commons Workshop at PICNIC ’09. This workshop will focus on sharing and remixing audiovisual content, and the resulting opportunities for content owners. Donatella Della Ratta, Arab World Media and Development Manager at Creative Commons and Paul Keller, Project Leader Creative Commons Netherlands will jointly run the workshop.
